All About My Christmas

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping Paper for most, but gift bags for a few.
2. Real tree or Artificial? Real, we love to go and get it as a family.
3. When do you put up the tree? We usually go get it the weekend after Thanksgiving.
4. When do you take the tree down? A day or two after New Years.
5. Do you like eggnog? A little
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Sylvanian Family house and families.
7. Hardest person to buy for? My husband, if he wants something he usually buys it for himself.
8. Easiest person to buy for? Everyone else.
9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? I usually mail them out, but not every year, some years I am so on the ball and others I kind of just say forget it. I don't like to think I have to do things, so if I don't get it done that's okay.
11.Worst Christmas gift you ever received? If it is a gift it is wonderful no matter what it is.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? White Christmas, It's A Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, the list goes on and on.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? When I have some extra money
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? No
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Everything!
16. Lights on the tree? Yes
17. Favorite Christmas song? Baby, It's Cold Outside
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? We travel like 1/4 of a mile to Paul's mom and dad's and then my family comes over to our house.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Dancer, Prancer, Comet, Blitzen, Donner, Dasher, Vixen, Cupid and of course Rudolph
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Angel
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning? Ornament on Christmas Eve and the rest Christmas Morning
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Nothing for me
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? The ornaments I got when I was little and the ones we give our kids.
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? mashed potatoes
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? Just getting together as a family.

The Core of Me

I just wanted to share a little about me. The real core of my life is Jesus. I became a born again christian at the age of 11. I asked Jesus to come into my life, I knew that no matter how much good I did it could not cover the sins not matter how great or small. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God" I knew that I was a sinner. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". This kind of death is not a physical death but it meant that I would be seperated from God forever. Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." The only way for us to go to heaven is by asking Jesus to come into our lives by praying the sinners prayer. Jesus' sacrifice was the payment for our sins. It is there for us to take, but everyone does not just get it, we have to ask for it. Romans 10:13 says it again, "for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Finally Romans 5:1 "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." We can be assured that we will be with God if we accept Jesus into our hearts and know that it is not what we do, but because of His sacrifice we are going to heaven. Titus 3:5 "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit."

My Kids Make Me Laugh

The other day we were in the car and someone had some gas and when Madilyn smelled it she said "hide nose, hide!"

Mom: Kamrie is going to grandma's to help her clean out the pantry.
Raquelle: What kind of tree is that?

Danielle: After you have had your threeth turn it is my turn.
Mom: Nellie it is third not threeth
Danielle: I like threeth better

Madilyn: I am allergic to turtles.
Grandpa: Oh really?
Madilyn: Yes I am allergic to turtles and big mean dogs.

I had Kamrie and some of her friends in the car at Paul's shop and over heard her telling them that if their parents need a new car, tires or a lift for their trucks, they should come to her dad's shop. Way to go little saleswomen!

The other day my littlest sister and I were laying on the bed watching TV and Madilyn was bouncing from me to Mallorie and saying something. Finally when I realized what she was saying I busted up laughing. She was saying "big butt, little butt". Kids can boost your self esteem so well.
