This year we spent the 4th up in Provo. Kamrie danced at the Stadium of Fire so we went to watch her along with Miley Cyrus and the Blue Man Group. The days leading up to the performance Kam worked her butt off at practice. The first practice was Wednesday in the smoldering hot parking lot, then 8:00 the next morning until 11:45 then lunch, and again at 3:00 until 6:00 and finally dress rehersal from 8:00 til 10:00. We then drove back to Spanish Fork to sleep and go to practice at a 6:45 the morning of the 4th. This practice lasted 5 hours. It was crazy madness for those girls. They would be out dancing and the moms would take turns spraying them with water and sunscreen and squirting water into their mouths as they were dancing. This was serious stuff and it was so hot at the end of the practice the girls were exhausted.
During the practices me and the little girls went to the mall to shop and then on Thursday we went to the Freedom Festival Park and got the girls colored hair extensions. Raquelle got 2 pink, Danielle got a red and a blue one, and Madilyn got a pink and purple. We bought Kamrie some clip in ones the day before, so this was a cheaper way of letting the little ones have some color.

Friday, the 4th, I went to help with the practice while the little ones slept in with daddy.
Daddy and the little girls went to breakfast with grandma and grandpa at Dennys. When the last practice was over we went to our room and showered off and got ready for the performance. We then went to TGI Fridays for dinner. Then we headed to the Stadium to hang out and wait for the show. Madilyn was more excited to see the "blue guys" then anything else. It was a great show and the dancers were so awesome to watch, they were my favorite part and then the fireworks.

When we got back to the hotel I fell asleep as soon as I hit the pillow and Paul thought it would be funny to put stuff on my head and in my glasses. I didn't realize until the next day but I went out into the hallway when one of my friends got back to the hotel to talk, and I had an ice cream lid stuck in my glasses. I wonder what she was thinking, because she didn't say anything. It was pretty fun, but next year I think we will stay around home. I really missed the parade and doing fireworks at home.
